The institution

Nottingham Trent University (NTU) was named the top post-1992 UK University in 2008 by the Good University Guide. NTU's research strategy places an emphasis on research that is outward-looking and is characterised by its orientation to real-world influence to make a self-sustaining contribution to society, culture and the public interest. The Research Assessment Exercise (RAE) 2008 highlighted NTU's outstanding research quality, with a signi cant proportion (15% in the assessment unit for MHiVec) classed as world-leading.

NTU off ers a wide range of administrative support to research sta ff including dedicated purchasing, grants support and finance teams. The university supports the development of its staff through the Centre for Professional Learning and Development.
